Baseball Performance Insoles Built for Explosive Play

Power at the Plate. Quickness in the Field. Speed on the Bases.

Baseball is a game of short, explosive movements.

A hitter drives through the ground to rotate and swing. A pitcher uses the lower body to build momentum toward home plate. An infielder reacts, plants, and changes direction in an instant. A base runner accelerates from a nearly stationary position and fights for every step.

Springbak® Springsoles are ultra-thin performance insoles designed to fit beneath the padded insoles already inside your cleats or training shoes.

Once installed, Springbak® functions as a removable midsole performance platform, creating a resilient foundation beneath the movements baseball demands.

Shaped like an insole. Positioned like a midsole. Designed for baseball performance.

Every Baseball Movement Begins From the Ground

The feet and lower body play an important role throughout baseball.

Research involving collegiate hitters has shown that forces created by both legs contribute to whole-body rotation during the swing. Pitching studies have also found that lower-body momentum, stride-leg stability, and ground-reaction forces are connected to the pitching motion and ball velocity.

Running studies involving collegiate baseball players have also connected lower-limb strength and power with the horizontal force generated during early sprint acceleration. That first burst matters when leaving the batter’s box, stealing a base, charging a ground ball, or closing on a fly ball.

Springbak® does not replace strength, conditioning, coaching, mechanics, or properly fitted footwear. It is designed to add a responsive performance platform beneath the athlete’s existing insoles.

An Insole Shape With a Midsole Function

Springbak® is called a performance insole because it is shaped like an insole, installs inside the shoe, and can be removed when needed.

However, it does not replace the padded insole that came with your baseball cleats.

Springbak® is positioned underneath the existing insole.

The original insole remains directly beneath your foot, where it continues providing the cushioning, fit, and support designed into the shoe. Springbak® sits below it, adding a separate resilient layer closer to the structural foundation of the footwear.

That is why Springbak® is both:

A Performance Insole

It is removable and installs easily inside the footwear.

A Midsole Performance Platform

It functions beneath the shoe’s existing padded insole as an additional performance layer.

It installs like an insole—but performs as a midsole platform.

How Springbak® Works Inside Baseball Cleats

Springbak® is made with patented, high-resilience rubber technology designed to compress under pressure and recover as that pressure is released.

During a swing, pitch, sprint, plant, or change of direction:

1. The Athlete Applies Force

The foot pushes through the shoe and into the playing surface.

2. Springbak® Compresses

The resilient material responds beneath the pressure created by the movement.

3. The Material Recovers

As the pressure changes or is released, Springbak® returns toward its original shape.

4. The Action Repeats

The compress-and-recover process continues through every stride, cut, swing, pitch, and play.

Springbak® does not use mechanical springs, air chambers, electronics, or bulky cushioning.

Apply force. Compress. Recover. Repeat.

Put Springbak® to the Test

Use Springbak® during familiar baseball movements and pay attention to the foundation beneath your feet.

Try it during:

  • Short sprints
  • Base-running drills
  • Batting practice
  • Fielding drills
  • Pitching or bullpen sessions
  • Lateral movement drills
  • Strength and conditioning

Compare the same movements with and without Springbak® in your footwear.

Same athlete. Same cleats. New performance platform.

How Springbak® Supports Baseball Movement

First-Step Acceleration

Many of baseball’s most important movements begin from a standing, crouched, or nearly stationary position.

Springbak® is designed to provide a responsive foundation beneath:

  • Leaving the batter’s box
  • Stealing or advancing a base
  • Breaking toward a ground ball
  • Charging a bunt
  • Moving after contact
  • Closing on a fly ball

In baseball, the first few steps can determine the entire play.

Hitting and Lower-Body Rotation

A powerful swing does not begin with the hands alone.

The hitter creates force through the feet and legs, transfers it through the hips and trunk, and ultimately delivers it through the bat.

Springbak® is designed to support the foundation beneath:

  • The hitter’s stance
  • Weight transfer
  • Stride-foot contact
  • Lower-body rotation
  • Balance through the swing
  • Controlled follow-through

The product should not be advertised as guaranteeing greater bat speed or hitting distance. A stronger and more accurate message is that Springbak® provides a resilient platform beneath the lower-body movement involved in hitting.

Pitching From the Ground Up

Pitching is a full-body movement.

The pitcher begins by loading the back leg, driving toward home plate, landing on the stride leg, stabilizing the lower body, and transferring momentum through the trunk and throwing arm.

Springbak® is designed to support the foundation beneath:

  • Back-leg loading
  • Drive toward home plate
  • Stride-foot landing
  • Lower-body stability
  • Repeated pitching movements
  • Fielding immediately after delivery

Springbak® does not correct pitching mechanics or guarantee additional velocity. It is designed to complement proper mechanics, conditioning, and footwear.

Quick Fielding and Changes of Direction

Fielders rarely move in a straight line for long.

They react, cross over, shuffle, plant, turn, accelerate, stop, and throw—often within a matter of seconds.

Springbak® provides an ultra-thin platform designed to support:

  • Lateral movement
  • Planting and cutting
  • Quick direction changes
  • Charging the baseball
  • Moving backward or diagonally
  • Regaining balance before throwing

Running the Bases

Base running requires acceleration, control, timing, and the ability to change direction around each bag.

Springbak® is designed to support movement during:

  • Explosive starts
  • Sprint acceleration
  • Rounding the bases
  • Tagging and advancing
  • Returning to the bag
  • Sliding preparation
  • Repeated running efforts

Springbak® does not guarantee a faster base-running time. It gives the athlete a responsive performance layer beneath the cleats they already wear.

Stability Through the Entire Game

Baseball games involve periods of waiting followed by sudden, explosive action.

Springbak® is designed for repeated movement throughout:

  • Warmups
  • Batting practice
  • Fielding drills
  • Bullpen work
  • Innings in the field
  • Trips to the plate
  • Base running
  • Strength and conditioning

The goal is not to replace training. It is to provide a consistent, resilient foundation beneath the athlete’s movement from the first pitch to the final out.

Designed for Every Position

Hitters

A responsive platform beneath stance, stride, rotation, and follow-through.

Pitchers

Support beneath loading, driving, landing, stabilizing, and fielding after the pitch.

Catchers

A low-profile performance layer beneath repeated squatting, rising, blocking, throwing, and lateral movement.

Infielders

Designed for rapid reactions, short acceleration, lateral movement, planting, and throwing.

Outfielders

A responsive foundation beneath first-step movement, longer sprints, changes of direction, and controlled throwing.

Base Runners

Support beneath acceleration, turns, returns, leads, and repeated sprinting.

Coaches and Umpires

Springbak® can also be used in properly fitted footwear during long practices, games, tournaments, and extended periods of standing and walking.

Built for Cleats and Training Shoes

Springbak® can be used in many properly fitted:

  • Molded baseball cleats
  • Metal baseball cleats
  • Turf shoes
  • Indoor training shoes
  • Strength-training footwear
  • Coaching shoes
  • Umpire footwear

Because baseball cleats can fit closely, always make sure the shoe remains comfortable after installation.

Springbak® should lie completely flat beneath the original insole without folding, bunching, or creating excessive pressure.

The Bottom Line

Baseball performance begins long before the ball reaches the glove or the bat meets the pitch.

It begins beneath the athlete’s feet.

Springbak® combines the familiar shape of an insole with the function of an ultra-thin midsole performance platform. It works beneath your cleats’ existing padded insoles to create a resilient foundation for swinging, pitching, fielding, throwing, and running the bases.

No mechanical springs. No bulky replacement insole. No need to replace the cleats you already trust.
